India Has Removed Import & Export License Requirements for Biological Samples in Blog Posts

The Indian government has allowed for easier import and export of various biological samples by removing the mandatory requirement of an export and import license for these samples, announced Mr Anup Wadhawan, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), on August 4, 2016. The new ruling will save CROs, biotech companies and research centers significantly shorter import and export approval times.

India Enforces a Minimum Shelf-Life Period for Imported Pharmaceutical Products in Blog Posts

Effective immediately, only pharmaceutical products with a shelf-life period of at least 60% can be imported into India. This requirement has been issued by the Assistant Drug Controller (ADC) department, a division of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization in India.


Beijing Health Bureau Suspends the Import Applications for Human Origin Specimens in Blog Posts

Beijing Health Bureau has temporarily suspended processing import applications for human origin specimens. The suspension of the import procedure comes as a response to a new decree issued by the Chinese Ministry of Health (Decree No. 160), which replaced the previous Decree No. 230.
