The UK imposes new COVID-19 restrictions as Omicron cases double every few days.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced new “Plan B” COVID-19 restrictions:

  • Starting on Friday, December 10th: face masks will be required in more public settings—including theaters and cinemas.
  • Starting on Monday, December 13th: people will be asked to work from home where possible.
  • Starting Wednesday, December 15th: the NHS COVID Pass will also be required for visitors to nightclubs, indoor unseated venues with more than 500 people, unseated outdoor venues with more than 4,000 people and any event with more than 10,000 people.
