MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Quick International Couriers (UK) Limited’s (“Quick”) slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year closed 31 December 2018.

Quick is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Q International Courier, LLC, which recently became part of the Kuehne + Nagel group of companies.

Quick provides priority transportation and logistics of time-critical and urgent shipments through three divisions: QuickSTAT for the global life sciences sector, Sterling for the aviation sector and Quick International Courier for the healthcare, technology and other specialized industries.

We fully support the protection and advancement of human rights throughout our operations and are committed to acting with integrity in all our business dealings

Our staff handbook and recruitment policies ensure that all prospective UK employees are legally entitled to work in the UK. They also include a focus on ensuring that employees are fairly compensated and a safe working environment is maintained.

We work with those in our supply chain to ensure that they are open and transparent in their activities. As part of our supplier agreements, suppliers warrant that they comply with applicable laws including those governing social responsibility and equal opportunity. Our suppliers are also subject to a screening procedure, and confirm their compliance with all applicable laws including the prohibition on the use of forced labour and child labour.

We remain focused on maintaining high standards of ethical and business integrity in our business and supply chains. In the coming financial year, we will continue to develop staff awareness for the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to ensure that our policies and procedures are well suited in addressing the risks of modern slavery in the business and supply chain.

Quick’s Directors have approved this statement.
